Alex Pereira is one of the premier athletes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His fight career began when he was 12 years old, and since then he has become a fan-favorite fighter. Born in Brazil, he has lived his entire life in Rio de Janeiro where he trains hard every day to be one of the best fighters in MMA.
Pereira made his professional debut back in 2018 at Bellator 179: Manhoef vs. Alexander and has fought for multiple promotions including Rizin FF, King of Kings, Brave CF and now UFC. He is currently signed with the UFC after signing a six-fight deal last year.
The 32-year-old Brazilian mixed martial artist holds an impressive pro record of 24 wins (10 by KO/TKO) and 9 losses through 33 fights across various organizations over 7 years as a professional fighter. He started off as a BJJ black belt before transitioning into MMA later on and becoming renowned for his striking game which earned him two world titles – Meca World Vale Tudo Heavyweight Champion; Brave CF Interim Light Heavyweight Champion; World Series Of Fighting Global Middleweight Grand Prix Semifinalist; WFCA Light Heavyweight World Title Tournament Winner; KOK 2017 Copa America K1 Rules Middleweight Tournament Winner – so far during his career.
He received some huge recognition recently when UFC president Dana White said about him “I’ve been watching Alex Pereira for awhile now…he is definitely someone who deserves to be fighting inside the octagon” after seeing him dominate during Rizin FF 15: Saitama event held last December 2019 against Roque Martinez via unanimous decision earning himself Fight Of The Night honors as well! Impressive stuff!
Since making his UFC debut earlier this year at UFC 250 against Charlie Ontiveros, Pereira’s stock has skyrocketed due to an impressive performance that ended up claiming Performance Of The Night honors while also marking another win on his already stellar record making it 4 consecutive victories overall with 2 coming under the bright lights of Las Vegas Nevada within the Octagon itself! With 12 finishes out of 24 wins so far throughout his MMA career it looks like we can expect plenty more exciting performances from Pereira going forward inside both Bellator & most notably now –the Ultimate Fighting Championship!
