BIOGRAPHY

Thiago Santos is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He currently holds an impressive record of 21-7 and also has multiple championships under his belt.

Santos began training at the age of 15 and made his professional debut in 2006. In 2009, he joined the Jungle Fight promotion after competing on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2. During his time with Jungle Fight, he claimed two championship titles while competing as a light heavyweight and middleweight.

In 2013, Santos signed with UFC and since then has gone 9-5 with the organization. He fought primarily as a light heavyweight but was later dropped to middleweight where he proved himself to be one of the top contenders in that division. In 2019, Thiago would face then champion Israel Adesanya for the title of undisputed Middleweight champion – though ultimately losing by decision – it was still an incredible performance from Thiago despite him coming up short on winning gold that night..
