BIOGRAPHY

Shana Dobson is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She was born on December 11, 1991 in Dallas, Texas and began her training at a young age.

Shana’s first fight was in 2011 at just 19 years old when she competed in amateur MMA promotion “Backyard Brawl”. After two wins as an amateur fighter Shana moved to professional level by 2014 and signed up with Legacy FC where she went on to win two fights. In 2016, Shana made her debut into UFC after signing with Invicta FC and was then featured on Dana White’s Contender Series Fight show where she won via unanimous decision against Ariel Beck and earned herself a spot on the UFC roster.

Since joining UFC, Shana has had success thanks to her dynamic style which combines technical striking with powerful grappling maneuvers such as the suplex takedown or judo hip throws from clinch range – all of which have been effective for her so far within the Octagon. Being part of Team Alpha Male since 2017 has certainly helped progress Shana’s game even further as well due to their highly educated coaches & gym partners available each day; helping them become better versions of themselves both mentally & physically inside/outside of competition rounds – something we’ve seen throughout this past year alone!

In 2020 Shana fought twice within six months against Mara Romero Borella & Poliana Botelho respectively; earning herself back-to-back Performance Of The Night awards for those bouts due to some memorable moments such as executing multiple spinning backfists against Borella whilst also using her relentless energy levels against Botelho that led into a TKO victory round 2 (which you can see below). Moving forward from there it looks like fans should expect plenty more exciting performances from Dobson inside/outside of Octagons next year too given how determined & adaptable she appears across various platforms outside fighting itself – whether that’d be interviews / seminars etcetera.– something we all should look out for 2021!
