BIOGRAPHY

Michel Pereira is a professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) promotion’s Welterweight division.

Pereira was born on June 20, 1990 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up, he was always drawn to combat sports and began training Muay Thai when he was just 13-years old before transitioning to Brazilian jiu-jitsu two years later. As an amateur fighter, Pereira competed for several promotions including Jungle Fight and Shooto Brazil before eventually making his professional debut with Pancrase in 2016 at the age of 25. During his three-year stint with Pancrase, he compiled a record of 8 wins against 4 losses with notable victories over UFC veterans Tom Breese and Yuki Kondo among others.

In 2019, Pereira signed a deal with the UFC after impressing during their Contender Series event where he won by technical knockout in the first round against fellow Brazilian Diego Ferreria Silva Jr.. His octagon debut came at UFC 246 where he faced Tristan Connelly who replaced an injured Mickey Gall earlier in January 2020 but ultimately lost via unanimous decision after being deducted two points due to illegal strikes delivered during the fight; Michel accepted his defeat gracefully and promised to “come back stronger”.

Since then “Demolidor” has gone 2–1 in his next three fights while also earning “Performance of The Night” bonuses for both submissions over Kalinn Williams at UFC 250 followed by a unanimous decision victory against Zelim Imadaev at UFC 253 respectively. In February 2021, Pereira managed to win another bonus award this time for “Fight Of The Night” thanks to an exciting performance opposite veteran Donald Cerrone which unfortunately ended up going into ‘Cowboy’ favour via TKO stoppage from strikes late into third round despite having been down on scorecards until that point; it marked Michel’s first loss since moving up from lightweight division prior joining UFC’s ranks as well as first fight ending this way out of 21 professional bouts contested thus far throughout various organizations globally til date.

Looking ahead towards future matchups inside octagon one could expect “Demolidor” taking part within some highly competitive matchups considering recent form displayed previously mentioned past performances combined – either way regardless outcome or opposition involved rest assured that such sort aforementioned efforts are likely guarantee every single time no matter what odds might suggest otherwise
