Chase Sherman Bio
Chase Sherman is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)’s heavyweight division. He made his debut in 2014 and has since gone on to become one of the most recognizable names in the sport.
Sherman was born and raised just outside Jackson, Mississippi. His parents divorced when he was young, so Sherman spent a lot of time with his grandfather and uncle, both of whom were avid MMA fans. This inspired him to begin training at age 8 with a local karate school, eventually competing in tournaments around the country for several years before switching to other forms like jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. At age 18 he went pro and won five straight fights, earning himself recognition as one of the top up-and-coming heavyweights.
In 2016 Sherman signed with UFC and immediately made an impact by winning two back-to-back bouts via knockout within two months of each other against Rashad Coulter & Walt Harris respectively. Over the next few years he continued to gain momentum in his career including defeating four out of five opponents inside three rounds showing off his powerful striking abilities which earned him comparisons to some legends like former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell.
At 6’4” tall & 240lbs Chase Sherman has built an impressive physique that allows him to take advantage of his size during competition; often using it as a tool for maintaining control over opponents while also being able to keep up with them by utilizing mobility & agility from all angles giving him plenty of options when fighting from either stance or grappling range despite being a primarily striking based fighter who loves trading strikes on feet more than anything else – something which helped lead him into becoming one half “The Fight Guys” podcast alongside fellow UFC veteran Nick Roehrick!
Outside The Octagon Harding leads seminars & private sessions teaching aspiring fighters how they can apply their own style effectively while staying aware their opponent’s movesets – ultimately helping participants develop stronger reflexes along mental preparedness whether they’re looking purely competitively or recreational reasons alike! Additionally he’s partnered up key sponsorships promoting brands such as Reebok Headphones Monster energy drinks etc…
Today Chase Sherman continues competing actively under UFC banner whilst pursuing opportunities beyond octagon looking forward what comes next whole life!
