Jake “The Prototype”Collier

Jake Collier is a professional MMA fighter who has been competing in the UFC since 2013. He currently fights in the middleweight division and has had an impressive career thus far.

Collier was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 6, 1987. After graduating high school, he attended North Central Texas College before eventually moving to Springfield, Missouri to train at the famous Springfield Fight Club with his former wrestling coach and mentor KJ Noons. It was here that Collier first started taking MMA seriously as a profession and began training full-time under Noons’ tutelage.

In 2012 Jake made his professional debut against Jonatas Novaes de Oliveira at UCMMA 31: Explosion in London where he won via unanimous decision after three rounds of action packed fighting. From there, Collier went on to win five more fights before earning himself a spot in the big show; The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale where he took on Dylan Andrews for the third place spot in the competition but lost via split decision after three grueling rounds of combat inside of octagon cage .

From then onwards Jake continued to compete professionally winning multiple bouts including victories over Luiz Dutra Jr., Ricardo Abreu and Caio Magalhaes which eventually earned him a shot at UFC gold when he faced off against Vitor Miranda for interim title contention bout at UFC Fight Night 67 however unfortunately again victory eluded him when Vitor secured an arm triangle choke submission victory late into round two of their fight night contesting affair . Despite this setback Jake did not give up hope and picked right back up where he left off going 4-2 throughout his next six bouts with wins over Anthony Smith , Marcel Fortuna , Dongi Yang & Shinsho Anzai while only losing twice against Daniel Kelly & Brad Tavares respectively during this span as well .

Nowadays we can find him actively training out of Oceanside Combat Academy located near San Diego California alongside partners like Scott Holtzman , Trevin Giles & Richie Smullen preparing for future fights inside octagon cage while also making time to help coaching out upcoming amateur fighters too all while still maintaining active lifestyle outside of gym balancing business ventures along with family life by spending quality time with wife , kids & friends alike doing things such as playing golf or hitting beach waves whenever possible .. All these trappings combined make Jake Collier truly one unique athlete whom proved even through adversity that anything is possible if you put your mind towards it no matter how tough thing might seem !
