Earl Thomas Booker IV, better known in the professional football circle simply as Thomas Booker, was born on November 11, 1999. He’s embarked on a promising career in the National Football League (NFL) as a professional football defensive tackle. Born and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland, Booker’s journey into football started young. A four-star recruit after his sterling performance at the Gilman School, his promise was clear. The defensive juggernaut that he is today, he refined at Stanford, where he played college football. His years at Stanford proved his mettle as he emerged as a three-year starter, impressing teammates and opponents alike across 43 games.

Booker’s final season at Stanford was a powerhouse performance. He made 59 tackles, took 1.5 sacks and achieved an impressive career tally of 159 tackles and ten sacks. Additionally, he made 20.5 tackles for loss, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble, and even made one interception. These standout performances did not go unnoticed; he was named to the All-Pac-12 teams consecutively in his three last seasons and was a coveted finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy.

Leading up to the 2022 NFL draft, he was lauded for his skills, seen as an invaluable developmental prospect. Scouts predicted he would excel as a rotational defensive lineman, given his robust track record and undeniable potential. The Houston Texans, impressed by his dedication and skill, drafted Booker in the fifth round, recognizing his potential as the 150th overall pick.

However, life in the Texans was short-lived. On August 29, 2023, Booker was waived, leaving an uncertain future. Two days later, on August 31, 2023, his career experienced a resurrection, and he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad.
