Patrick Mekari, an American professional football offensive tackle, has paved a noteworthy path in the heart of the National Football League (NFL). Born on August 13, 1997, Mekari crafted his career in the bustling sports industry and became a prominent name amongst the Baltimore Ravens, a well-recognized team in NFL. His roots go back to an Armenian/Lebanese father and an Armenian/Iranian mother, who sought a secure and high-spirited life in the sunny city of California. Here, Patrick Mekari’s narrative first began to take shape and build upon his sports aspiration.

He first set foot onto the field during his college years, playing American football at California. The transition from the college field to the professional one was surely a stepping stone in Mekari’s career, but one he triumphantly strode over. The Baltimore Ravens, spotting the raw talent in this underdog, signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2019 when he was unfortunately overlooked in the NFL draft.

Mekari didn’t allow the lack of early prospect to dim his spirit; instead, he utilised it as fuel for his fiery performance. His form was noticed through his strong camp and preseason, establishing him as a versatile player and earning a place on the Ravens’ initial 53-man roster. Mekari started the 2021 season with a bang, stepping into the position of starting right tackle for the Ravens. His newfound responsibilities were the result of injuries to two of the team’s mainstays, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, and starting left guard/backup right tackle Tyre Phillips. This lead to a significant reshuffling with starting right tackle, Alejandro Villanueva moving to the left to replace Stanley. Consequently, a window of opportunity opened for Mekari, who stepped up, fitting comfortably into the starting right tackle position for the majority of the season.

On December 30, 2021, Mekari’s unwavering dedication, hard work, and talent were rewarded with a three-year contract extension with the Ravens.
