Michael Pierce's Biography

Michael Pierce is an accomplished American Football athlete who currently plays for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). Born on 6th November 1991 in Daphne, Alabama, United States, Pierce has shown outstanding dedication and skill in overcoming obstacles in his path to becoming a professional NFL player.

Pierce spent his early years in Alabama, where he developed an interest in football as a young boy. He attended Daphne High School, where he played football for his school team and earned quite a reputation for his athletic abilities. His commitment to the game did not just start and end on the football field. He was also known to be disciplined and diligent acadically, excelling in his studies while also honing his football skills.

Upon graduation from high school, Pierce attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, he kicked off his college football career with the Green Wave football team. However, after two years, he transferred to Samford University where he completed his collegiate career playing for the Bulldogs. At Samford, his hard work and dedication earned him recognition, and he was named Second Team All-Southern Conference in 2014 and 2015.

Despite his impressive collegiate career, Pierce went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was, however, quickly signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens. Seemingly undeterred by initially going undrafted, Pierce seized the opportunity to prove his worth, making a prominent mark during his rookie season in the league.

In 2016, he made his professional NFL debut against the Buffalo Bills and recorded his first professional sack. As the season progressed, the promising defensive tackle showed an increasingly impressive performance, leading him to earn more playing time.

By the end of the NFL 2018 season, Pierce had established himself as one of the most effective defensive tackles in the league. His work ethic, relentless hustle, and tenacity were vital assets that the Ravens benefitted from during his stint with the team.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he opted out of the 2020 season over health concerns.
