Kiondre Thomas, born on February 7, 1998, has proven his extraordinary talent on the football field time and again. This American professional football cornerback began his career with intense college football stints, which eventually led him to sign with various professional teams in the NFL. Even as a pro athlete, Thomas remains a free agent, ready to lend his skills wherever they are needed.

Thomas’ journey into football began at Kansas State, where his college athletic career was solidified. After establishing himself as a promising player, he became an undrafted free agent signed by the renowned Cleveland Browns right after the 2021 NFL draft. This transition was a significant leap for the young star, marking his entry into the realm of professional football.

According to 247Sports.com, Thomas had been classified as a three-star recruit during his high school years. His evident talent and dedication to the sport paid off when he committed to play for Minnesota on November 12, 2015. For three consecutive seasons, Thomas proved his might on Minnesota’s turf. However, come February 3, 2020, he decided to move his talents elsewhere and transferred from Minnesota. Kansas State won the honor of having Thomas on their team shortly after this significant shift.

Going on from an impressive stint at college football, the Cleveland Browns promptly signed him as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2021. A setback hit him when he was waived by the Browns due to an injury designation on August 16, 2021, and placed on injured reserve. Despite this, he recovered swiftly, and on August 20, 2021, he was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

September 6, 2021, brought a silver lining for Thomas as he was signed to the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad. His tenacity and skill did not go unnoticed by the Green Bay Packers either. On January 26, 2022, they signed him to a reserve/future contract. After being waived on August 30, 2022, he was promptly re-signed to the practice squad the day after. On October 1, 2022, he moved to a higher position, being elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. He then signed another reserve/future contract on January 10, 2023, but was released on August 29, 2023. Undeterred, he joined the Packers’ practice squad again the following day, only to be released on October 17.

On March 2, 2024, Thomas ventured into a new territory, signing with the Houston Roughnecks of the United Football League (UFL). Later that year, on July 26, he made a brief appearance with the Carolina Panthers before being waived just a week later. Not much later, on August 15, 2024, he found his way into the Pittsburgh Steelers’ team. However, his time with the Steelers was short-lived, as he was waived on August 26.
