Kemon Hall's Biography

Kemon Hall, born June 2, 1997, in Calhoun City, Mississippi, is an American professional football player currently playing as a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). His football career traces back to his high school years in Calhoun City High School and college years at Itawamba Community College in Mississippi where he made a promising start and displayed great prowess on the field. He later transferred to the University of North Texas, outstanding in the NCAA as a rookie with 72 tackles and achieving four solo tackles in his first game.

Over time, Hall continued escalating his career, including forcing fumbles and making interceptions. In his second year playing at the University of North Texas, he made notable advancements, scoring touchdowns and making interceptions despite having suffered an injury that cost him several games. Despite the setback, he still ranked 10th in the country for interceptions and made 48 tackles.

However, despite his excellent performance during his college years, Hall was not immediately picked during the 2019 NFL Draft. The Los Angeles Chargers came to the rescue, signing him as an undrafted free agent later that year. However, things didn’t go as planned, leading to Hall’s release at roster cuts and relegation to the practice squad, only to be released again later.

Towards the end of 2019, the Minnesota Vikings signed Hall to their practice squad, leading to a future contract early the next year. Unforeseen circumstances led to his release just as 2020 was settling in. He subsequently secured a tryout with the New Orleans Saints, proving successful and earning a spot in August. Despite this achievement, initial inconsistencies saw Hall being waived not once but twice from the practice squad.

Growing increasingly resilient, Hall kept his eyes on the prize. Towards the end of 2020, he found a new home with the Dallas Cowboys, signing up for the practice squad. This stint with the Cowboys held potential, with Hall securing a future contract in early 2021. However, things didn’t pan out, and Hall found himself waived in May 2021.

After this rollercoaster, the Chargers reclaimed Hall, putting him back on the field where he shone in his NFL debut with 14 special teams snaps resulting in a win against the Washington Football Team. Hall had a stable journey from there, ending his rookie season with appearances in all 16 games, making seven tackles, and a fumble recovery.

Despite this successful season, 2022 brought familiar challenges, with the Chargers waiving Hall and moving him to the practice team. A temporary promotion to the active roster was derailed by an injury that placed him on injured reserve late in 2022. Then, in 2023, the Chargers waived Hall again.

However, hope was not lost, as the San Francisco 49ers signed Hall to their practice squad by the end of 2023. Early in 2024, he scored a reserve/future contract, although he was waived later that year. Despite previous setbacks, Dallas Cowboy’s impressed by Hall’s resilience and undying zeal, claimed him off waivers, setting the stage for his presence in their team. Despite being released shortly after, Dallas Cowboys made the crucial decision to have Hall re-signed to their practice squad, marking yet another progressive stride in Hall’s football career.
