Bryce Callahan Bio
Bryce Jordan Callahan is a former NFL cornerback who specialized primarily as a slot defender. Born October 23, 1991, in Moscow, Idaho, he attended Cypress Woods High School in Texas before playing college football at Rice University. Rice lists Callahan at 5 feet 10 inches and 185 pounds during his senior season, and identifies him as a redshirt senior in 2014. He completed his college career with the Owls and was selected for the East-West Shrine Game.
Callahan was not selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, but the Chicago Bears signed him as an undrafted free agent after the draft. He developed into a versatile defensive back in Chicago, working at cornerback and nickel back. The Bears later retained him with a one-year tender in April 2018. His compact build, quickness and ability to compete inside made him a natural fit for slot coverage.
After his Chicago tenure, Callahan joined the Denver Broncos and later signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in May 2022. The Chargers identified him as a cornerback and credited him with leading the team in interceptions during the 2022 season. The latest clearly documented NFL affiliation in the retrieved sources is the Chargers in 2022; those sources do not establish a current NFL team as of September 21, 2026.
