Joshua Kelley

Joshua Kelley is a professional American football running back who plays for the National Football League (NFL). Highly recognized for his skills and talent on the fields, Kelley’s passion and dedication have propelled him to success in the sport he loves.

Born on November 20, 1997, in Lancaster, California, Joshua Kelley was destined for the field. He attended Eastside High School in Lancaster where he began showcasing his athletic prowess. As a phenomenal young player, he rushed for 3,488 yards and 39 touchdowns during his high school career. His outstanding performance secured him a place at the University of California, Davis.

At UC Davis, Kelley played for two seasons from 2015 to 2016. He amassed a total of 1,000 yards rushing and demonstrated exceptional skill as an offensive player. Despite a flourishing career at UC Davis, Kelley decided to transfer to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) after his sophomore season.

At UCLA, Kelley redshirted in 2017 due to NCAA transfer rules. However, he returned in 2018 stronger than ever. He was named a starter and subsequently rushed for 1,243 yards and 12 touchdowns, making him one of the best rushers in the Pac-12 Conference that year. In his senior year, he rushed for 1,060 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning himself a reputation as a reliable and consistent running back.

Upon graduating from college, Kelley entered the 2020 NFL Draft. His explosive speed, agility, and ball vision caught the attention of several NFL teams. In the fourth round of the draft, he was chosen by the Los Angeles Chargers. His NFL career started in a promising manner, with Kelley proving himself as a reliable player in both rushing and receiving capacities.

His rookie season with the Chargers was impressive. He accumulated 354 rushing yards and 148 receiving yards, with two touchdowns. Kelley has provided depth to the Chargers’ running game, offering a complementary role to the team’s lead back, Austin Ekeler.
