Joe Alt

Born in North Oaks, Minnesota, on February 28, 2003, Joseph Alt is the son of former Kansas City Chiefs player, John Alt, and sibling to ice hockey player, Mark Alt. This makes his rise to become an established American professional football offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL), all the more notable. His entire life has been steeped in the experience of high-level athletic competition, thanks to his unique background.

A testament to his mastery of the game began early when Joseph, otherwise known as Joe Alt, attended Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, Minnesota. In the 2024 NFL draft, Alt’s years of gruelling practice, relentless training, and splendid performances bore fruit when he was picked fifth overall by the Los Angeles Chargers, thereby signaling his entry into the big leagues of professional football. On June 10, 2024, Alt formalized his move to the Chargers by signing a four-year rookie contract worth a whopping $33.2 million, with a signing bonus of $20.9 million – a testament to the lofty expectations placed on his broad shoulders.
