Jeremiah Moon's Biography

The life of Jeremiah Moon, an American professional football player, is nothing short of a tale of strength and resilience. Born in 1998, Jeremiah embarked on his journey towards football dominance—a path not without its share of ups and downs. Identifying as a linebacker, Jeremiah Moon now dons the jersey of the well-respected Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL).

Moon’s epoch in professional football was preceded by his time at college. At the University of Florida, he tried his hands in football, attempting to hone his skills and talents. Nonetheless, the stint was not as rosy as he might have imagined. His freshman year was marred by an unforeseen and unfortunate event, a severe injury that led him to the sidelines after just two games. This season-ending injury necessitated a redshirt year.

Following a painstakingly slow yet successful recovery, Moon resumed play in 2017. That year, he started in five games—an impressionable return considering the severity of the injury he was rebounding from. The subsequent year, he managed to start in 13 games. However, injury woes continued to plague him, causing the promising player to be sidelines for both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

However, 2022 came as an unexpected turning point in Moon’s journey. He faced a bit of a setback in that year’s NFL draft, which he entered undrafted. Nevertheless, he managed to bag a lifeline when he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. During his time with the Ravens, he played in a few preseason games before being assigned to the practice squad for the 2022 season. The following year saw him sign a future/reserve contract on January 17.

Despite his undaunted spirit, his tenure with the Ravens was turbulent. He was waived by the team on August 29, only to be re-signed to the practice squad. Eventually, he found his way back to the active roster on September 23. Moon was waived and re-signed to the practice squad once more, before being assigned to the active roster again on January 5, 2024. However, his stint in the active roster was short-lived as he was once again waived on January 25, 2024.

The story didn’t end there for Moon. In an unforeseen turn of events, he was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 26, 2024. Luck seemed to desert him again when he was placed on the injured reserve on August 27, 2024. However, Moon was undeterred by these tribulations. Showing tremendous resilience, Moon was activated back on the roster on October 5, ready to prove his mettle once again.
