Javelin Guidry Bio
Javelin Guidry is an American football cornerback who played college football at the University of Utah. Utah listed him as a defensive back from Murrieta, California, and identified his full name as Javelin Kajireh Guidry. He was born on August 6, 1998, and measures 5 feet 9 inches. His college career included work as a nickel cornerback, while his athletic background also included competitive sprinting.
Guidry entered the NFL after the 2020 draft as an undrafted free agent, signing with the New York Jets. His standout pre-draft trait was speed: he recorded an official 4.29-second 40-yard dash at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. NFL.com described him as an explosive Utah defensive-back prospect, and Utah credited him with a 10.13-second 100-meter performance at Vista Murrieta High School. His playing profile centers on quickness, recovery speed and experience in the slot.
Guidry’s documented professional affiliations included the Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons organizations. The NFL’s transaction records show that the Detroit Lions terminated his contract on August 27, 2024. As of September 20, 2026, no current NFL team affiliation was verified from the retrieved official sources, so he is best described as a free agent rather than a current Lions player.
