The journey took Guidry next to the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad, where he signed onto a reserve/future contract in early January 2023. However, he was waived several months later in May. Following a brief return to the Jets, he was placed on injured reserve on August 17, 2023. Overcoming adversities and displaying a commendable resilience, Guidry returned to the game by signing on with the Detroit Lions in August 2024. Notwithstanding his tireless efforts, his stay was brief, when he was released from the team later the same month.
