Foster Moreau is an American football tight end for the Houston Texans. Houston signed him as an unrestricted free agent on March 16, 2026, and the NFL listed him as active with the Texans as of September 20, 2026. Moreau is listed at 6 feet 4 inches and 250 pounds. He was born May 6, 1997, in New Orleans and attended Jesuit High School before playing college football at LSU.

At LSU, Moreau developed into a dependable in-line tight end and team leader. He became a permanent team captain, received the program’s prestigious No. 18 jersey as a senior and graduated with a degree in sport administration in December 2018. After participating in the 2019 Senior Bowl, he was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round, No. 137 overall, of the 2019 NFL Draft. He remained with the Raiders organization through the 2022 season.

Moreau joined his hometown New Orleans Saints on a multiyear agreement in May 2023 after a team physical led to a Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis. He announced that he was in full remission on July 3, 2023, and later received the Saints’ Ed Block Courage Award for his recovery and return to football. After three seasons in New Orleans, he moved to Houston in 2026. Moreau’s game is built around physical blocking, versatility and the ability to contribute as a short-area or red-zone receiver rather than functioning solely as a pass-catching specialist.
