Demetric Felton Jr., an accomplished American football player, was born on July 16, 1998. Widely esteemed for his versatility and agility on the gridiron, Felton is predominantly known as a running back possessing exceptional talent. At this time, Felton stands as a free agent, having already forged an impressive collegiate career with the UCLA Bruins, and subsequently entering the professional realm of the NFL.

Felton’s football journey first gained traction in his hometown of Temecula, California, where he attended Great Oak High School. Showcasing his skills as a senior, he recorded a remarkable 1,347 rushing yards on 166 carries and scored 14 touchdowns, a performance that led him to commit to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to further his football career.

Having officially logged his first year at UCLA as a redshirt in 2016, Felton entered the fray in 2017 by playing in 12 games. He proved his potential by accumulating 75 yards on 10 carries, netting his first college touchdown. In the following year, he diversified his game, playing as a wide receiver and starting in eight of the twelve matches. His stats from the year included 20 receptions for an overall gain of 207 yards, and a touchdown.

Felton’s 2019 performance further solidified his standing in the team. He rushed 86 times, gaining 331 yards and a touchdown. Besides, his prowess as a receiver advanced, reflected in his 55 catches amounting to 594 yards and four touchdowns.

Upon Joshua Kelley’s departure for the NFL, Felton took up the mantle as UCLA’s starting running back in 2020. This fresh responsibility yielded fruitful results, with Felton achieving career highs of 32 carries and 206 yards in a victorious match against Arizona. However, an unspecified injury sidelined him in the season finale against Stanford. Regardless, he finished the season as the fourth-leading rusher in the Pac-12, averaging 111.3 yards per game and notching five touchdowns. His exemplary contributions on the field did not go unrecognized, earning him the accolade of being named to the second-team All-Pac-12.

Felton’s professional journey commenced on May 1, 2021, when he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns 211th overall in the 2021 NFL draft and subsequently signed a four-year rookie contract. He leveraged his skills effectively during the training camp, acing as a running back, receiver, and kick returner. He reached a career milestone on September 19, 2021, recording his first professional touchdown against the Houston Texans and was nominated to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Despite his commendable performance, Felton was let go by the Browns on August 29, 2023. In the wake of these events, he was signed to the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad two days later. However, his contract ran its term, making him a free agent once again on the culmination of the team’s season on January 7, 2024.

On July 28, Felton found a new professional home with the Chicago Bears. However, his tenure was short-lived, as he was waived on August 11. A day later, on August 12, he was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts, a move that kept the talented player in the NFL ecosystem, despite being waived again on August 27.
