Braxton Jones

Braxton Jones is an American football offensive tackle for the Chicago Bears. As of September 15, 2026, he is listed on Chicago’s active roster and was identified as the team’s starting left tackle on the September 8, 2026, depth chart. The Bears re-signed Jones to a one-year contract on March 13, 2026, after he spent the first four seasons of his professional career with Chicago.

Born March 27, 1999, in Murray, Utah, Jones attended Murray High School and played both football and basketball. He continued his football career at Southern Utah University, where he developed into a prominent offensive tackle. Southern Utah lists Jones as a first-team All-Big Sky selection and an FCS All-American for the 2021 season. His college career also included earlier all-conference recognition and experience in a program that used him as a key part of its offensive line.

The Bears selected Jones in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 168th overall pick. He immediately competed at left tackle and earned PFWA All-Rookie Team recognition after his first professional season. Jones is listed at 6 feet 5 inches and 303 pounds.
