Ben Jones is a renowned American football offensive lineman celebrated for his successful career in the National Football League (NFL). His journey to the NFL has been one paved with dedication, resilience, and unwavering passion for the game.

Born on July 2, 1989, in Centreville, Alabama, Jones discovered his love for football early on. He attended Bibb County High School, where he excelled both acadically and athletically. Here, as an avid sportsman, he also played basketball and was part of the track team. However, his heart was always drawn to the thrilling, high-energy world of football. Throughout his high school career, Jones showed incredible prowess in football, earning him recognition and a scholarship to Georgia University.

At Georgia, Jones greatly honed his skills and proved his worth as a formidable offensive lineman. In his freshman year, he played in 10 games and made 49 tackles. Jones started 10 out of 13 games in his sophomore year and held a significant contribution to the team’s success, including a bowl game victory. His junior year was an exemplary season as he started every game and was named to the All-SEC Second Team. In his final year at Georgia, Jones had an impressive run emerging as a leader and captained the team to the SEC East Division title. His consistent performance made him a finalist for the Rimington Trophy.

In the 2012 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans saw immense potential in Jones and decided to add him to their roster. Jones made his debut in the same year against Miami dolphins where he was given a starting role. His tenacious performance made him an immediate asset to the team. Throughout his four years with the team, Jones played in every game, a testimony to his endurance and dedication.

In 2016, Jones signed a contract with the Tennessee Titans, marking the start of a new chapter in his professional career. As the Titans’ center, Jones continues to deliver excellent results. Notably, in the 2019 season, he helped Derrick Henry lead the league in rushing and guided the team to its first AFC championship game since 2002. His peers recognized his performance when they selected him as the winner of the 2019 Ed Block Courage award.

Off the field, Jones is known for his philanthropic efforts. He launched ‘The Jones Mission Fund’ in 2018 in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
