Caleb Shudak Bio
Caleb Shudak is an American football placekicker from Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended Lewis Central High School and played multiple positions, including kicker, running back, linebacker and defensive back. Shudak also competed in swimming, tennis, track and baseball before joining the University of Iowa as a walk-on in 2016. He redshirted that season and later earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition. Shudak made his Iowa debut in 2018 and became a regular special-teams contributor, handling kickoff duties before establishing himself as the Hawkeyes’ primary placekicker.
Shudak’s senior season at Iowa in 2021 brought major recognition. He was named a permanent team captain for special teams, received the Brett Greenwood Award and Reggie Roby Special Teams Award, and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s media. He was also named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. After going undrafted in 2022, Shudak signed with the Tennessee Titans as a rookie free agent and made his NFL debut that season. The Titans later signed him to a reserve/future contract in January 2023, then waived him on August 22, 2023.
