Alec Lindstrom Bio
Alec Eric Lindstrom is an American football center from Dudley, Massachusetts. He was born on July 7, 1998, attended Shepherd Hill Regional High School and played college football at Boston College. Lindstrom is listed at 6-foot-3 and played primarily at center. He earned his undergraduate degree in management and leadership from Boston College.
At Boston College, Lindstrom became a multi-year starter and received All-ACC recognition, including first-team honors in 2020 and 2021 and third-team honors in 2019. He was also a finalist for the 2021 Rimington Trophy, which recognizes the nation’s top center. The Boston College profile identifies him as a medical redshirt in 2017 before his later development into a starting offensive lineman.
Lindstrom was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft and signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent. He spent time on the Cowboys’ practice squad and active roster during the 2022 season, then returned to the organization on a reserve/future contract in January 2023. The Los Angeles Rams signed him on August 6, 2024, and waived him on August 25, 2024. As of September 15, 2026, the retrieved NFL player directory lists Lindstrom without a current team and with a “CUT” status; no later current-team affiliation was verified.
As a prospect, Lindstrom was described as a technically skilled, intelligent center with strong football character and competitive toughness. Dallas’s 2022 evaluation also noted his effectiveness reaching or scooping defenders and working on the move, while identifying limited play strength as a developmental concern. His career has included NFL opportunities with Dallas and Los Angeles, but those affiliations are historical rather than current.
