Player Impact Estimate

LeBron Raymone James Sr., more commonly known as LeBron James, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 feet 8 inches tall, he plays the small forward and power forward positions. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players in history due to his athleticism and all-around skillset.

James was born on December 30th 1984 in Akron, Ohio to Gloria Marie James. His mother had him at a young age and struggled to provide for LeBron alone so she allowed her son’s father – Anthony McClelland – to live with them when they didn’t have enough money. Growing up, LeBron split his time between his mother’s house and that of a local youth football coach who became like an uncle or stepfather figure to him during this period. At St Vincent–St Mary high school in Akron he earned national recognition for his basketball prowess which led him directly into the NBA after graduating from high school in 2003 when he was just 18 years old.

Since entering into professional play with Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2003, it has been a meteoric rise for James who soon gained international attention through becoming only one of three rookies ever selected onto All-Star teams; as well as being named Rookie of The Year by NBA journalists throughout 2004 season. During this decade long stint with Cavaliers – despite numerous individual accolades such winning MVP awards twice – they failed to capture any championships until 2007 when along with All-Star team mate Dwayne Wade lead Miami Heat into their first championship success since 2006; additionally garnering consecutive wins again the following year against Oklahoma City Thunder in 2012 before returning home once more where he gave Cleveland its first major sports title since 1964!

In 2014, after signing four year contract worth $48 million dollars with Miami Heat’s rivals – The Lakers – it seemed like James’ career had come full circle but this would be short lived when faced up against injuries during 2018/19 season leading many speculations about retirement or further moves elsewhere; however these were put aside following 2019/20 season’s resurgence culminating yet another Finals victory alongside fellow team mates Anthony Davis & Rajon Rondo over Miami Heat 104–87 scoreline thus cementing King Lebron’s legacy even further within annals NBA history!

Throughout impressive 17 seasons spent within league itself there are few records left untouched by 6-time champion himself: notably highest points per game average among active players (27), most triple doublings recorded (93), most double doublings registered (814) plus over 35k career points scored which places him third all time behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Karl Malone respectively making sure his name will forever remain etched upon sport renowned hall fame!
