A native of Long Beach, California, Mann was born on October 8th, 1997. He attended St. Anthony’s High School where he was a four-star recruit and earned numerous awards throughout his high school career including being named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 4A First Team in 2015 and 2016. After high school, he decided to further pursue his basketball career at Florida State University where he played under Leonard Hamilton from 2016-2019.
At Florida State, Terance Mann quickly established himself as one of the best players in college basketball as he started every game during his freshman year and led the team with points per game (PPG) that season averaging 14 PPG while also contributing 6 rebounds per game (RPG). He would continue to be a major contributor to FSU’s success throughout his collegiate career playing an integral role as they made three NCAA tournament appearances; reaching as far as the sweet sixteen during their 2018 run.
