Kawhi Leonard is an NBA All-Star and one of the best players in the league. He is a two-time NBA champion, three time All-Star, two time Defensive Player of the Year, and was named Finals MVP twice. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers and is also known as “The Klaw” for his tenacious defense.

Kawhi Leonard was born in Riverside, California on June 29th 1991 to Mark Leonard and Kim Robertson. Growing up he played basketball with his older brother who helped him develop into an outstanding prospect. It was during high school that Kawhi began to get noticed by college scouts due to his tall frame (6’7”) athleticism and defensive prowess.

In 2009 he committed to San Diego State University but ended up transferring after one year when he declared for the 2011 NBA draft.
