Kawhi Leonard Bio
Kawhi Leonard is an American NBA forward for the LA Clippers. As of September 11, 2026, the NBA lists him as No. 2 for the Clippers, and its current team material lists him among the club’s players under contract. Leonard was born June 29, 1991, and is listed at 6'6" and 225 pounds.
Leonard played two seasons at San Diego State before entering the 2011 NBA Draft. The Indiana Pacers selected him with the 15th overall pick, and San Antonio acquired his draft rights in a draft-night trade. He later played for the Toronto Raptors before signing with the Clippers in 2019.
A powerful two-way wing, Leonard built his reputation on disruptive perimeter defense, physical scoring and composed shot creation. He won NBA championships and Finals MVP honors with San Antonio in 2014 and Toronto in 2019, and he was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016. The Clippers announced a contract extension in January 2024; NBA reporting described it as running through the 2026-27 season.
