Jalen McDaniels

Jalen McDaniels is one of the most promising young basketball players in the NBA today. He was born on April 5, 2000 in Seattle, Washington and attended Federal Way High School before transferring to Roosevelt High School for his senior season. After graduating high school, he played college basketball at San Diego State University where he enjoyed a successful career as an Aztec. In his two years playing for SDSU, McDaniels averaged 11 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 42% from three-point range, making him one of the better perimeter shooters in college basketball during those two seasons.

McDaniels declared for the 2020 NBA draft following his sophomore year at SDSU and was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with their second round pick (52nd overall). While not a particularly high selection, Jalen has already shown promise during his rookie season with Charlotte so far as he frequently plays meaningful minutes off of coach James Borrego’s bench unit throughout games; this playing time has allowed McDaniels to show off both his shooting ability and defensive prowess which could make him an important part of Charlotte’s future success if he continues to develop properly over time.

Off the court Jalen is very active in communities all around Seattle and various other parts of Washington state through charity events such as providing meals for families who are struggling financially or hosting free youth clinics throughout schools that teach kids about life values such as leadership & respect all while having fun playing basketball with them; these efforts have certainly earned himself plenty of goodwill within Seattle considering how popular sports are there among its citizens.

At just 20 years old it’s clear that Jalen still has a lot left to learn about being successful at the highest level but given what we’ve seen from him thus far it appears that Hornets fans will be seeing great things from him over time if given proper development & opportunity . The sky truly seems to be limit when talking about Jalan’s potential future success whether it’s on or off court due to skill set & character traits which makes both fans & front office personnel alike excited when thinking about what kind great contributions they can expect out of him moving forward!
