As always, we have you covered with the top Woodley vs Edwards predictions for UFC London.

The former UFC welterweight champion is set to return against top contender Leon Edwards, as the headliners at UFC Fight Night London on March 21, 2020.

At first glance, most will see the former champ as the easy choice. Partially because Edwards has been flying under the radar, despite being on a eight fight win-streak. The problem is they are majority decisions and easily dismissed by fight fans. On the other side, Woodley has said that his last bout was an off day and will be back soon. For a wager, athletes with inconsistency are the hardest to bet on.

Woodley vs Edwards Predictions

Tyron Woodley’s Path to Victoy

Woodley has the power and grappling to make easy work of his opponent. If the mental game is there as well, it should be fairly easy to hurt Edwards early with his signature overhand. He will need to patch some of the holes exposed in his last outing against a similarly high output striker. The criticism has been Woodley’s gas tank, which he has done excellent in reserving prior to his recent loss. Tyron will need to stay very patient when picking his shots. Getting into a trading war could be a quick knockout for Woodley, or a slow tactical energy drain of the former champ by Edwards.

Leon Edwards’ Path to Victory

Edwards is one of the tactical and well-rounded athletes in the promotion. As for entertainment sake, methodical is not fan-friendly, hence the lack of popularity. Edwards will do well forcing the pace and getting Woodley to empty out his tank. If he can get a gassed out Woodley to the ground, there’s a good chance for a submission upset. Edwards will likely need to avoid big bombs for five rounds, and that is a tall order for “Rocky.”

Woodley vs Edwards Prediction

Tyron Woodley by TKO. I’m not as confident in the choice as usual, because of the question marks around Woodley. If he is splitting too much time with his new broadcast opportunities, and rap career it will be a long night for “The Chosen One”. Statistically the former champ is on point majority of the time and has the tools to take out the top contender in his hometown.
