Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos will headline the July 15 event, setting up an intriguing matchup between two of the UFC’s top 170-pound fighters. Luque is coming off a win over Niko Price while dos Anjos was last seen defeating Paul Felder in February.

Luque (18-7-1) has been on a tear since joining the welterweight division back in 2017, winning 11 out of 13 fights with his only defeats being to Leon Edwards and Stephen Thompson. He is currently ranked #9 in the division and he holds wins over many notable names such as Bryan Barberena, Mike Perry, Jalin Turner, Niko Price and Derrick Krantz. His most recent victory against Price was one of his most impressive performances yet as he dispatched his opponent with a barrage of punches within just four minutes into the first round.

Dos Anjos (30-13), meanwhile, made his welterweight debut back in 2018 after moving down from lightweight due to struggles making weight for that division. Since then he’s gone 4-3 with victories over Neil Magny, Kevin Lee, Tarec Saffiedine and Paul Felder plus losses to Kamaru Usman for interim title bout at UFC 235 plus Colby Covington for Interim Title bout at UFC 225 & former champion Robbie Lawler at UFC on ESPN+ 8 respectively . He’s currently ranked #5 in the welterweight rankings thanks to an impressive run at 170 pounds that have included wins against three former champions – Magny (UFC 215), Lee (UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs Lee) – along with Felder (UFC Fight Night: Anderson vs Błachowicz 2).

The matchup between Luque and dos Anjos should provide fight fans plenty of excitement as both fighters are known for their exciting styles inside the octagon. Luque is known for having some heavy hands capable of ending any fight if given an opportunity while Dos Anjos combines high level striking along with stellar grappling skills which makes him very dangerous wherever this fight may go. Both men also possess great cardio allowing them to keep up a strong pace throughout all five rounds if necessary making it even more interesting view how these two elite talents clash inside octagon come July 15th!
