BIOGRAPHY
Uriah Hall is a mixed martial artist currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is best known for his devastating kickboxing skills, as well as being one of the most feared competitors in the UFC middleweight division.
Hall was born on July 31st, 1984 in Spanish Town, Jamaica and moved to Queens New York at age 14 where he began training in martial arts. After graduating high school Hall pursued MMA full time and began competing professionally.
Hall made his professional debut in 2008 and quickly gained a reputation for his vicious Muay Thai style knockouts earning him wins over some of the top fighters of that era such as Lewis Rumsey and John Phillips. In 2011 he won Ring Of Combat’s Middleweight championship which earned him a spot on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones v Team Sonnen season 17 show. While on the show, Hall became an instant fan favourite due to his exciting fight style and powerful striking ability which saw him win multiple bouts before eventually losing in the finals to Kelvin Gastelum via split decision.
Following this loss Uriah continued to compete outside of TUF amassing 12 wins out of 15 fights including notable victories against Chris Leben, Gegard Mousasi & Oluwale Bamgbose among others before signing with UFC for good in 2014.
Since joining UFC Uriah has gone 5-4-1 showing impressive performances along the way such as his head kick KO victory over Bevon Lewis at UFC 232 or 3 submission wins over Adam Cella , Krzysztof Jotko & Antonio Carlos Junior . Most recently Urah faced off against perennial contender Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Night 174 where although he lost by unanimous decision it was one of most entertaining fights from 2020 so far according to many fans & critics alike .
Despite not having any championships yet Uriah has often been regarded by peers & fans alike as one of most talented strikers within MMA’s middleweight division while also being seen by many as fighter who still has potential left untapped when it comes to pursuit of becoming champion someday soon making future bouts involving Uriah highly anticipated within community .
