Ronnie “The Heat”Lawrence

Ronnie Lawrence is a professional mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitor who has been training in the sport since he was 16 years old. Born in 1989, Ronnie began his career as an amateur MMA fighter at local events in Charlotte, North Carolina. He soon gained recognition for his skills and made the transition to professional MMA fighting in 2013.

During this time, Ronnie competed on several different circuits such as Bellator MMA, XFC, CFFC and Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC). He also participated in two bouts of The Ultimate Fighter 29 with Team Dos Santos against Justin Frazier and Cameron Diffley. After being named one of the top prospects from each season by ESPN analyst Chael Sonnen he eventually signed with UFC making his debut on November 5th 2016 against Brad Pickett at UFC Fight Night 99: Mousasi vs Hall 2.

Since then Lawrence has gone 6-5-1 while competing inside the octagon but still remains a competitive fighter despite being involved in several close fights throughout his tenure with UFC. Some of these fights include a split decision loss to former title contender Thiago “Marreta” Santos which received Fight Of The Night honors back at UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes 2; another fight that was awarded Fight Of The Night honors was when Lawrence faced off against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC 237: Namajunas vs Andrade where he ended up losing via split decision again.

Throughout this whole journey within the world of professional mixed martial arts Ronnie has remained humble and determined to become better each day both mentally as well as physically continuingly striving for excellence inside of and outside of the cage; He currently trains out of Hard Knocks 365 gym located in South Florida alongside some notable talents like welterweight champion Kamaru Usman & middleweight title contender Yoel Romero among many others under renowned head coach Henri Hooft who have all helped him get closer towards achieving his ultimate goal which is becoming a champion within the sport he loves so much!
