Vince Cachero is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Cachero began his professional career in 2013 at just 19 years old and has gone on to become one of the top fighters in his weight class. He has faced some of the best fighters in MMA including former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, current interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier, and Cub Swanson.
Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Vince got involved with martial arts at a young age when he tied up karate classes at age 8. After taking taekwondo for several years he eventually moved onto jiu-jitsu which became his primary focus. His love for competition led him to compete regularly on both local and regional circuits where he quickly rose through the ranks by winning numerous medals and titles.
At 19, Vince made his professional MMA debut with a first round submission win over Joaquin Calderon Jr., kicking off what would become an impressive career that currently stands at 16 wins (eight knockouts) against four losses. In 2015 he signed with Bellator MMA where he went 5-2 before being released two years later after suffering back-to-back defeats against A.J McKee and John Salter respectively. On July 2018 Vince signed a contract with UFC after going 2-0 outside of major promotions paving way for him to enter the octagon against Yair Rodriguez which ended via split decision loss despite putting up a valiant effort against arguably one of the most dynamic strikers on today’s roster..
Cachero then proceeded to win four fights out of five bouts marking himself as one of top contenders within 145 lbs division prompting critics to label him as “The Future Of The Featherweight Division” . Most recently “Kid Dynamite” had an impressive victory over Cole Smith at UFC Fight night: Jacare vs Hermansson earning Performance Of The Night bonus award along it due ensuring himself another opportunity inside octagon this time facing rising prospect Gavin Tucker scheduled for August 2021 card .
While Cage fighting is Vince’s main gig these days; outside cage ,he often trains other aspiring amateurs or professionals such as fighter from renowned Team Alpha male gym , coaches youth athletes from local community center while also providing support/guidance whenever needed .
