Molly “Meatball”McCann

Molly McCann, also known as “Meatball Molly”, is an English mixed martial artist who currently fights in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She made her professional MMA debut in 2016 and has since gone on to become one of England’s top female fighters. McCann has earned six wins by stoppage and holds notable victories over Gillian Robertson and Priscila Cachoeira.

Born in Liverpool, England on August 3rd 1991, Molly was raised alongside her two siblings—one older brother and one younger sister—by a single mother. Her father had abandoned them when she was very young, leaving her mother to raise them on a limited income from working at the local Tesco grocery store. Despite these hardships, Molly remained determined to pursue a career as an athlete that would allow her to provide for herself and lift both herself and those around her out of poverty. This determination led her to begin training in taekwondo at age eight with local coach Paul Rimmer before eventually transitioning into Muay Thai when she was 17-years-old.

Molly continued competing throughout high school while balancing various part-time jobs such as being a waitress or doing promotions in order to make ends meet financially for herself and family. After graduating from Hope University with a degree focused around adventure sports coaching, she began taking amateur boxing classes at Cable Health Club while setting up personal training sessions where clients paid just £10 per session due to their tight budget constraints. This began paving the way towards becoming full time professional fighter which attracted potential sponsorships along the way like Body Torque Strength & Conditioning Gym where she trained for free during this time period.
