BIOGRAPHY

Manel “The Panther” Kape is a Congolese professional Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Born on April 10,1993 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Manel began his martial arts training at an early age and was an avid fan of various combat sports such as Muay Thai and kickboxing. In 2011 he moved to Johannesburg South Africa to further pursue his passion for MMA.

Manel quickly rose to prominence after participating in the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) Africa organization from 2013-2017 during which time he went undefeated with a total record of 8 wins and 0 losses. He won numerous titles including Middleweight EFC champion and Bantamweight Interim Champion before being signed by the UFC in December 2017.

Since joining the UFC Manel has been a force to be reckoned with amassing a record 6 wins out of 8 fights against top competition such as former two-time flyweight title challenger Brandon Moreno and former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Makwan Amirkhani. His most notable performance came against Demtriouse Chimaev at UFC Fight Night 152 where he earned “Fight Of The Night” honors due to their exciting three round matchup that ended with Manel winning via unanimous decision on June 20th 2021.

Known for his intense fighting style that emphasizes striking power coupled with relentless ground pressure, Manel has established himself as one of the best 125 pound fighters in the world today – earning him nicknames like “The Panther” due to his ferocity inside the octagon combined with technical acumen outside it when cornering other fighters or providing media analysis for fight promotion outlets alike . He is also popular among fans for often partaking in post fight interviews where he shows off some lighthearted humor while giving details about his performances inside cage battles or expressing gratitude towards all supporters who follow him along this journey called Mixed Martial Arts
