BIOGRAPHY
Jimmy Crute is an up-and-coming mixed martial artist currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He made his professional MMA debut at just 19 years of age, and quickly rose to become one of the most promising light heavyweight fighters in Australia. His impressive skill set has seen him earn a record of 11 wins and only 1 loss within the octagon.
Born on May 27th 1995, Jimmy Crute was raised in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Growing up he had a passion for sports such as rugby league, soccer and basketball, but found himself drawn towards combat sports early on when he began training Muay Thai at 15 years old. After finding success with Muay Thai, he transitioned into mixed martial arts where he trained under Australian kickboxing legend John Wayne Parr. This proved to be a fruitful partnership as it saw him make his professional debut less than four years later against Ben Edwards at Eternal MMA 18 – ‘Champions Collide’ on November 13th 2014. He won this fight by submission via rear naked choke in round two and subsequently earned himself the nickname “The Brabarian” due to his striking resemblance to comic book character Conan The Barbarian after winning this bout with long flowing locks flying around everywhere!
Crute would go onto win 9 fights consecutively which included 5 first round knockout victories; impressing UFC president Dana White enough that they signed him straight away when they announced their return to Australia in 2018 – making him just one of three Australians ever signed directly by them without having fought outside their organisation first! Since joining their ranks Jimmy has gone 2–1 so far inside the octagon – defeating Paul Craig by unanimous decision before losing a split decision against Misha Cirkunov back down at home during Fight Night 142: Adelaide card last year before bouncing back with yet another unanimous decision win over Michał Oleksiejczuk earlier this summer at UFC 240: Edmonton Canada event this July 2019!
Jimmy Crute continues his rise as one of hottest prospects coming out from Down Under right now – proving that all those hours spent grinding away learning various forms of combat have paid off considerably already thus far! With youth surely still firmly on side too expect much more greatness from “The Brabarian” going forward within UFC’s light heavyweight division for many years ahead…
