Jamie Pickett is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight division. Born on April 4, 1992 in North Carolina, Jamie grew up with a passion for sports and was heavily involved in high school football and track & field as well as basketball. After completing his High School education, Jamie decided to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He began training at Elite MMA Academy which eventually led him to a brief stint with Bellator MMA before signing with the UFC.

Pickett made his professional debut in 2017 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young fighters on the regional circuit. He notched impressive victories over notable opponents such as Pat Cornwell, Brandon Morris, Clay Harvison and many more. This success eventually landed him a shot at competing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series where he earned a contract with UFC after defeating Puna Soriano via unanimous decision.

Since joining the promotion, Jamie has had five fights under his belt including victories over Tyler Diamond via TKO and Kyle Nelson via split decision while also suffering losses from Don Madge via submission due to triangle choke hold and Jordan Griffin by way of unanimous decision . Despite these hard-fought losses however, Pickett managed to keep impressing fight fans thanks to his exciting style of fighting that involves constant pressure on opponents combined with powerful strikes from all angles – something that’s been particularly evident during his recent fight against Matt Sayles which ended in another victory for Jamie by way of TKO within round two due to punches thrown by Pickett from half guard position . With this win now behind him , it looks like we can expect even bigger things from this talented fighter moving forward .

At 28 years old – Pickett is still relatively new compared to some other veterans in the promotion but he has already proven himself capable of keeping up thanks to consistent performances across all facets of MMA game – whether it be striking , grappling or cardio endurance – making him one worthy opponent for anyone willing take challenge head-on inside octagon . So far , Jamie remains undefeated when it comes down big stage appearances , so if you’re looking someone who can bring excitement every time they step foot into cage then look no further than “The Gentleman ” himself –Jamie Pickett!
