Jamie Pickett is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight division. Born on April 4, 1992 in North Carolina, Jamie grew up with a passion for sports and was heavily involved in high school football and track & field as well as basketball. After completing his High School education, Jamie decided to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He began training at Elite MMA Academy which eventually led him to a brief stint with Bellator MMA before signing with the UFC.
Pickett made his professional debut in 2017 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young fighters on the regional circuit. He notched impressive victories over notable opponents such as Pat Cornwell, Brandon Morris, Clay Harvison and many more. This success eventually landed him a shot at competing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series where he earned a contract with UFC after defeating Puna Soriano via unanimous decision.
