BIOGRAPHY
Austin Lingo is a professional mixed martial arts fighter with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has been competing in MMA since 2012 and has fought for various promotions all over the world, including KOTC, PFC, MFC, LFA and CFFC. At 32 years of age he holds an impressive record of 14 wins and 6 losses.
Lingo began his professional MMA career with Strikeforce Challengers where he made his debut against Vince Ortiz on April 27th 2012. After losing by TKO in round one Lingo went on to fight for KOTC where he would go undefeated for five fights before signing with UFC in 2017.
With UFC Austin competed four times but only managed one win. His first fight was against Kevin Aguilar at Fight Night 112 which ended in a unanimous decision loss after three rounds. He then faced Enrique Barzola at Fight Night 123 and lost by rear naked choke submission halfway through the second round. Austin’s third fight was against Gregor Gillespie at Fight Night 131 which resulted in another defeat by unanimous decision after three rounds again. Finally, Lingo won his only UFC match when he defeated Jordan Rinaldi at Fight Night 143 following a guillotine choke submission close to the end of the second round.
After leaving UFC Austin moved back down to regional promotions such as PFL (Professional Fighters League) where he earned two wins out of three fights – both via KO/TKO within 2 minutes into each fight – before having to pull out due to injury during his last bout against Ylies Djiroun at 2019’s World Series Of Fighting event 39: “Coliseum” due a torn ACL roughly two minutes into Round 1 .
As it stands today Austin is currently 33 years old and is waiting for medical clearance from doctors so that can return fully healthily back into competition as soon as possible; however no news have yet been released about when this might be or who might be opponent should it happen anytime soon..
