BIOGRAPHY

Santiago Ponzinibbio is an Argentine mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has been a professional fighter since 2008, and has long established himself as one of the most talented fighters in the sport.

A native of La Plata, Argentina, Santiago started training martial arts at an early age. By his teens he was studying karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under some of the top instructors in Buenos Aires. He soon developed a passion for combat sports, leading him to pursue a career as a professional fighter when he was 19 years old.

Under Patricio Pitbull’s guidance at Nova Uniao gym in Brazil – Santiago would go on to compete in regional promotions across South America between 2008-2012 before signing with UFC. His first fight took place on November 12th 2012 against Nordine Taleb which he won by Unanimous Decision. This marked his official debut into UFC with many more memorable bouts taking place throughout his career thus far including victories over Gunnar Nelson and Neil Magny among others.
Santiago is known for his intricate striking technique combining multiple forms of kickboxing such as Muay Thai, Capoeira & Karate – making him one of the most versatile strikers within MMA today . However it’s not only standup where Santiago excels; possessing formidable ground game thanks to his BJJ background allowing him to take fights wherever they need to be taken – leading some pundits to label him “The Most Complete Fighter In The Division” .
