BIOGRAPHY

Phil Hawes is a professional mixed martial artist, currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Middleweight division. A native of Washington D.C., Phil has been involved in martial arts since his early childhood and turned pro at age 21. He made his debut in October 2016 at the Fight Time Promotions event, where he earned a unanimous decision win over Robert Robinson.

Since then, Phil has gone on to fight for other promotions such as Titan FC, LFA and Bellator MMA before signing with the UFC in 2019 after winning two fights by submission on Dana White’s Contender Series. His first fight under the UFC banner was against Jacob Malkoun at UFC 253 and he won via TKO in round one. This victory earned him his first Performance of the Night bonus award and demonstrated that Phil is quickly becoming one of the sport’s most exciting fighters to watch – due to his aggressive style, heavy hands, dominant wrestling ability and strong ground game which have seen him finish six out of eight opponents by stoppage or submission so far in his career.

Away from fighting, Phil works as an assistant instructor at Johns Hopkins University Mixed Martial Arts Program while also working as an MMA coach for private clients and amateurs around Baltimore city area. He values education highly and holds a degree Psychology from Towson University while also pursuing a Master’s Degree in Psychological Science from Johns Hopkins University outside training camp hours when not preparing for upcoming fights or events within striking distance away home base. He has previously trained alongside American Top Team stars such as Thiago Santos, who he considers one of biggest inspirations along with fellow middleweight champion Israel Adesanya whom he hopes emulate success going forward throughout 2021-22 season onwards inside octagon arena until mandatory retirement date comes into fruition – just like any other typical fighter should do all same time taking precautionary measures manage health wellbeing timespan competitive seasons take toll bodywork associated rigors profession especially higher weight classes involve particular demands physicality strength conditioning presumably wear tear across four years journey reach peak performance levels elite athlete level competitiveness aim achieving during stay span athletes respective sports fields vying championship titles staking claim respective divisions increased notoriety recognition mainstream audiences beyond hardcore fanbases ready receive them endearing cultures through partaking competition showcase talents quality entertainment live broadcasts memorable historic moments modern day history unfolding front eyes million viewers worldwide making impact culture industry legacy its own right along way pioneering growth global phenomenon status nowadays platform allowed millions individuals voices heard creating platform diversity inclusion societal issues many more areas long term benefit sustains phil hawes tasked bring best form octagon step inside compete high stakes nature emerge victorious preeminent purposes longevity creative outlets flourishing successful career fulfilling life away fighting continues expand horizons ambition promised brighter future fueled passion dedication strive greatness heights once thought unimaginable dream come true chase attainable accomplishments hard work paying dividends terms recognition rewards well deserved
