BIOGRAPHY

Kevin Aguilar is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the UFC’s Featherweight division. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 10th 1991. He began his fighting career at a young age, competing mainly in Muay Thai and boxing matches. After graduating high school he moved to Miami, Florida to pursue a career in MMA and quickly made a name for himself as one of the best featherweights on the local scene.

In 2013 Kevin signed with Legacy Fighting Championship where he would go on to win five fights back-to-back earning him a shot at their featherweight title which he won by first round knockout against Damon Jackson at LFC 33. As champion he defended his belt two times before eventually losing it due to injury mid-fight against Alex Black at LFC 40. After this loss Kevin spent some time away from competition focusing on improving himself as an athlete and refining his skillset before signing with Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series that same year where he earned himself a contract with the UFC after winning via unanimous decision against Steven Peterson during Episode 5 of season 3 of DWTNCS.

He made his official UFC debut at UFN 137 when faced off against Enrique Barzola losing via unanimous decision but bounced back strong by winning three out of four fights giving him an impressive overall record 8 wins 4 losses 1 draw prior to entering The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale tournament where he defeated Josh Culibao via unanimous decision earning him Performance of The Night honours .

In June 2019 Kevin faced Mirsad Bektic during UFN 153 getting knocked out late into round two despite having been ahead significantly throughout most of the fight leading up until that point – afterwards Bektic praised Aguilar for being an excellent fighter citing “Aguilar is definitely one tough competitor who deserves respect from all fans” In 2020 Aguilar fought twice more facing Eduardo Garagorri (UFC 248) then Danny Henry (UFC Fight Island 5). Currently residing in Houston, Texas; when not training for upcoming fights or improving upon his martial arts knowledge Aguilar takes time out every morning to spend quality time with family or friends usually playing basketball or swimming laps together either way they always make sure there’s plenty laughter involved making it enjoyable experience all around!
