It seems there is some truth to Colby Covington’s claims of knowing Jon Jones very well in College. Covington had spoke at length on the MMA Roasted Podcast about his experience with Jon Jones as a roommate in college. The two were on the wrestling team at Iowa Central Community College. During that time, Covington claimed to have to deal with a “roided out Jones.” Covington’s claim is that Jon Jones’ drug use is the reason for his success.

Jones and Covington have since traded insults on Twitter:

Jones has gone on to say that Covington’s comments stem from jealousy. It’s a shame the two are so far apart in weight.
