Xavier Hutchinson is a name that commands respect in the football space. Growing up in St. Johns, Florida, Xavier was destined for athletic greatness from a young age, as displayed through his years of consistent performance and growth that led him to be an esteemed wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston Texans.

Born on June 1, 2000, Xavier was introduced to football at Bartram Trail High School. It was here that he cultivated his skills and passion for the sport, which led him to become a formidable force on the field. In his final year at Bartram, his impressive statistics of 74 receptions for 1,004 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns projected him as a rising star, driving heads to turn in his direction.

After graduating high school, Xavier decided to nurture his burgeoning football talents at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, where he continued to build an outstanding athletic portfolio. Starting in 2020, Xavier’s first year at Iowa State University turned out to be nothing short of remarkable. He fearlessly started all 12 games and showcased an extraordinary performance. His success was reflected in his stats, having led the entire Big 12 Conference with 64 receptions amounting to 771 yards, and four touchdowns.

The following year, Xavier once again demonstrated his exceptional talent. He started 12 out of 13 games and topped off his previous triumphs by establishing a new school record. He caught an admirable 83 receptions for 987 yards, securing five touchdowns. Despite having the opportunity to enter the NFL Draft in 2022, Xavier chose to stay another season with Iowa State, illustrating his loyalty and dedication to his college team.

Finally, in 2023, Xavier’s moment to transition into the professional league arrived. The Houston Texans, recognizing his immense talent and potential, drafted him in the sixth round as the 205th overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Xavier participated in 16 games, and while he was only involved in eight receptions totaling 90 yards, he also served as an invaluable asset on the Texans’ special teams.
