Wyatt Davis's Biography
Born on February 17, 1999, Wyatt Davis is a well-known professional American Football Guard player. With expertise in playing for various professional football teams, Davis is currently a free agent. Throughout his career, he’s had the privilege of playing for some of the top national league teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants.
Wyatt Davis was raised in Rancho Palos Verdes, in California, and pursued his high school education at St. John Bosco High School. Notably, he was given a five-star rating by known sporting platforms such as Rivals, 247Sports, and Scout due to his exceptional performance on the field. Davis later opted to further his skills in college football at Ohio State after getting offers from renowned university teams such as Alabama and Michigan, among others.
In 2017, Davis redshirted his true freshman season. Despite starting as a reserve guard during this period, he made a remarkable impact when he started in the final two games of the season. His contributions led to a significant role in the games, including the 2018 Big Ten Football Championship Game and 2019 Rose Bowl. During this period, he acquired substantial playtime, with 241 total snaps recorded.
Following his impressive performance, Davis was named the first-team All-Big Ten Conference and first team All-American by reputable institutions, such as the Associated Press and the Sporting News. With his exemplary performance, he later was named in the Big Ten Network’s second-team All-Decade team for the 2010s.
In 2020, after the announcement that the Big Ten would postpone the season, Davis announced his exit from the game but returned after the conference overturned its decision. During this time, he was acknowledged as a unanimous All-American. Subsequently, he was selected in the 2021 NFL draft.
Davis began his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, who picked him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Although he encountered intense competition from fellow player Oli Udoh, he nevertheless managed to fight for his position during his inaugural NFL training camp.
In the 2021 season, after a challenging stint during the Vikings’ preseason games, Davis was named the backup right guard behind Udoh. He ended his rookie season by featuring in six games, exclusively on special teams, recording no offensive snaps.
In 2022, Davis had to fight for a starting job in the Vikings team but got waived during the final roster cuts. Shortly afterward, he joined the New York Giants and signed with their practice squad. Davis shifted base to the New Orleans Saints and later joined the Arizona Cardinals.
After being released from the Cardinals, he returned to the Giants in late 2022. His stay with the Giants ended up being a difficult period as he was put on injured reserve in August 2023. After recovering, he joined the Cleveland Browns in mid-2024 but was waived off in August later that year.
Apart from his notable football career, Davis is proud of his star-studded family.
