Millard Bradford, born on September 24, 1999, has crafted an illustrious career in American football, currently serving as a professional safety. As an ardent football enthusiast, his journey in the world of football has been marked with significant accomplishments and occasional hurdles that have shaped him into the athlete he is today.

Hailing from Helotes, Texas, Bradford embarked on his football journey right from his high school years at Sandra Day O’Connor High School. Showcasing promising prowess, Millard further refined his skills by dedicating a postgraduate year at the esteemed Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. There, he delivered strong performances as a football defensive back. Recognizing his potential, he was chosen to play college football for the sought-after Texas Christian University team, the Horned Frogs.

Bradford’s tenure at TCU began in 2019, manifesting impressive skill and dedication right from his freshman year. He appeared in all 12 games, raking in 23 substantial tackles. His sophomore year saw another commendable performance, recording 44 tackles and making 6.5 tackles-for-loss (TFLs) in 10 games. His ability to deliver consistent performances ensured that his upward trajectory continued into his junior year as well, during which he hit the fourth-highest team score with an impressive 52 tackles and 2.5 TFLs.

Bradford’s fourth year with TCU was instrumental in leading the Horned Frogs to the national championship in 2022. He placed fifth on the team while recording 58 tackles, started all 12 games, and disrupted eight passes. Despite his stellar performance, he returned for a final season in 2023, recording 54 tackles, defending six passes, and intercepting two. His relentless dedication both on and off the field led him to be an honorable mention for the All-Big Ten Conference selection for 2022 and 2023.

Post his remarkable collegiate football career, Bradford received an invitation to the prestigious NFL Scouting Combine, marking the end of his time at TCU and segueing into the world of professional football.

Despite his consistent performance, the journey from college to professional football wasn’t smooth sailing. Bradford went unselected in the 2024 NFL draft, leading him to sign with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. Yet, his journey with the Saints was met with a setback when he was let go from the team on August 27, 2024. Not one to be dissuaded easily, Bradford reconnected with the Saints the following day, joining their practice squad. His skills and unwavering commitment were quickly recognized and he was signed from the practice squad to the active roster on November 2, 2024. This promotion came right in time for the team’s Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers. Bradford’s stint with the Saints, however, ended in November 2024 when he was waived.
