Raised in Valdosta, Georgia, Carter’s journey into football started in the classrooms and fields of Lee County High School. It was in this esteemed institution where he notched up his first trivial yet memorable achievements in the sport and laid the groundwork for a flourishing career. His high school accomplishments were substantial enough to secure him an admission to Louisiana State University (LSU), allowing him to compete at the collegiate level.

As a college athlete, Carter’s prowess within the sport became increasingly conspicuous. Wearing the colors of the LSU Tigers for four seasons, he became a critical part of his college team. In his junior year, Carter contributed to his team’s remarkable journey to the zenith of college football by playing in 11 games where he successfully caught two passes, amassing a total of 15 yards.
