Tipa Galeai Bio
Tipa Te’i Galeai is a former NFL edge defender who is now listed by Idaho State University as its assistant defensive line coach as of September 16, 2026. A native of Euless, Texas, Galeai played linebacker in high school before developing into a defensive end in college. He began his collegiate career at TCU, transferred to Utah State, redshirted in 2017 and graduated from Utah State in 2019 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Galeai earned second-team All-Mountain West recognition in both 2018 and 2019 at Utah State. Green Bay signed him as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2020, and he spent three seasons in the Packers organization, playing outside linebacker and contributing on special teams. His first NFL sack came against Cleveland on December 25, 2021. Galeai later joined the BC Lions’ training-camp roster in January 2024; the club released him on May 15, 2024.
