Raleigh Webb's Biography

Raleigh Webb, born on December 28, 1997, is an accomplished American professional football player who has honed his skills incredibly well in the role of a wide receiver. Despite being a free agent at present, his journey through the world of professional football is nothing short of remarkable, having been affiliated with several well-regarded teams of the league.

Webb’s love for football can be traced back to his early years in Acworth, Georgia, where he was brimming with undeniable potential. His performances at Allatoona High School, where he was pursuing his education, were nothing short of commendable. During his time as a senior, he made 117 tackles, four of which were for loss, he also scored four interceptions and forced two fumbles resulting, in Allatoona securing a victory in Georgia AAAAA state championship.

Following high school, his journey brought him to The Citadel, a revered institution known for its rigorous sports programs among other things. Webb further refined his skill set during his tenure here. Initially, as a redshirt freshman, he practiced as a defensive back. However,
realizing both his potential and preference for the wide receiver position, he was shifted to the said role just before the start of his redshirt freshman season.

Webb’s time at The Citadel paved his way towards notable recognition in the form of being named first team All-Southern Conference. His on-field performances were reflective of the same, with him catching 30 passes for 617 yards and 10 touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore. Despite the interferences and global unrest caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during his redshirt senior season, Webb remarkably managed to catch 17 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games.

When the opportunity arose to capitalize on the extra year of eligibility granted to college athletes due to the pandemic, Webb made the decision to return to The Citadel for a sixth season. His final season ended on a high note with 25 receptions for 536 yards, three touchdowns, and even rushed for two touchdowns. Over his college career, he made an impressive total of 102 receptions for 2,151 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. His athletic prowess wasn’t confined just to football – he was also a noteworthy track runner at The Citadel.

Webb then embarked on his professional journey, signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2022. However, he was waived during final roster cuts on August 30, 2022. He was shortly after signed onto the team’s practice squad, and by September 18, 2022, Webb was elevated to the active roster for the team’s Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins, marking his NFL debut.

Webb’s subsequent career saw him being elevated again for the Ravens’ Week 3 game against the New England Patriots. The latter team signed Webb to their active roster from the Ravens’ practice squad on October 19th of the same year. Although his time with the Patriots came to an end when he was released on August 29, 2023, he quickly found a new opportunity with the Miami Dolphins on August 31, 2023.

After being released by the Dolphins on November 13, 2023, he was promptly signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad on November 22, 2023. There, he signed a reserve/future contract on January 23, 2024, but was eventually waived several months later on August 27. Each step of Webb’s professional football journey has been filled with transitions and growth, leaving fans excited to see where his talents will take him next.
