Logan Wilson, an American professional football linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL), was born on July 8, 1996. He possesses a commendable story of triumph over obstacles and has emerged as a significant figure in the sports world, specifically in American football. His journey started in the humble settings of Casper, Wyoming, where he was born and bred, marking his initial foray into the world of football in high school and growing into a noteworthy athlete in college, before making his mark in the professional realm.

Wilson attended Natrona County High School, where he demonstrated remarkable dexterity in American football, playing as a defensive back, wide receiver, placekicker, and punter. He achieved All-State team recognition in his sophomore and junior years when he played as a safety, wide receiver, and punter. Wilson also managed exceptional performances in his senior year, leading the Mustangs to a state title with an unblemished 12-0 record. His college football breakthrough came when he committed to the University of Wyoming, with Weber State being his only other option.

His maiden college season saw him redshirt. His first major showing was as a redshirt freshman, recording impressive stats and earning the title of Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year. Logan went on to attain honorable mention All-Mountain West accolades in his redshirt sophomore season. His performance remained remarkable throughout his junior and senior years at Wyoming, where he finished with a sterling record of 421 tackles, the fourth-most in school history. On top of that, he recorded ten interceptions, seven sacks, four fumbles recovered, and three touchdowns on defense.

The Cincinnati Bengals, recognizing Wilson’s talent and potential, selected him in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. He made his professional debut in the opening game of the same year. Wilson’s first career interception came off a throw by Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, and he earned his first career sack on Ryan Tannehill of the Tennessee Titans in Week 8.

Going into the 2021 season, Wilson was assigned as the Bengals’ starting middle linebacker. His first interception of the season came against Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Throughout the 2021 season, Wilson performed impressively, leading the team with four interceptions.

In the AFC Divisional Playoff against Tennessee Titans, he intercepted a tipped pass mid-field, setting up an eventual game-winning field goal by teammate Evan McPherson. This victory marked the Bengals’ first road playoff win in franchise history, a momentous achievement tied to Wilson’s name.

Wilson continued his impressive performances in 2022 registering his first breakout in Week 3 against the New York Jets. He had his career-best game in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns and finished the regular-season leading the Bengals in tackles with 123.

In the Bengals’ Wild Card playoff victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Wilson made a crucial interception in the fourth quarter that subsequently led to a record-breaking touchdown by the Bengals. After the season, he signed a four-year contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals in August 2023.

In the following months, Wilson continued his gripping performances with notable plays against Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. He also made a critical interception in the Bengals’ Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers leading to a go-ahead touchdown. After the 2023 season, Wilson led the Bengals in tackles for the third consecutive year, confirming that his best years are undoubtedly ahead.
