Andrew Stueber

Born on July 1, 1999, Andrew Stueber is a skilled American professional football guard who has contributed significantly to both college and professional football. He is currently signed to the Atlanta Falcons, a prominent team in the National Football League (NFL).

Stueber gained considerable recognition in his college years from 2016 whilst playing for the Michigan Wolverines. He was part of what was considered the highest-ranked Michigan recruiting class in the current era, on account of his exceptional talent and poise on the field. His potential was highlighted when he was ranked a four-star prospect by ESPN and was recognized as the No. 4 player in his native state, Connecticut, demonstrating his significant promise in football.

In 2016, Stueber publicly announced his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines, catalyzing his journey into college football. However, his experience was not without adversity. He suffered a major setback in 2019, when he endured a torn ACL during training camp which resulted in him missing the entire football season. Undeterred, Stueber put his focus and determination into making a robust comeback.

In 2020, his resilient efforts were rewarded, leading to him being recognized as the 2020 Connecticut Player of the Year by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. This was an exceptional honor and marked significant recognition for Stueber’s contribution to the sport.

As he entered his graduate student year in 2021, Stueber was a critical component in leading the offensive line that achieved the least number of sacks in the country (10) and the third least number of tackles for loss (27). His performance did not go unnoticed, and he was a semi-finalist for the prestigious Joe Moore Award. At the end of the season, he was named the first-team All-Big Ten Conference by the media and received second-team All-American recognition by the AFCA, further evidencing his valuable contribution to the team and the sport.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, Stueber entered as a seventh-round pick (245th overall) by the New England Patriots. However, a torn hamstring led him to be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list on August 23, 2022, which forced him out of the series for an entire season.

Overcoming set-backs seemed to be a recurring theme in Stueber’s career. In 2023, he was let go by the Patriots, only to be re-signed to their practice squad just days later. He then signed a reserve/future contract on January 8, 2024.

Despite this contract, his stint with the Patriots ended when he was released by the team on June 3, 2024. In a quick turn of events, he was claimed off waivers by the Atlanta Falcons the very next day. His time with the Falcons also saw a brief interruption when he was momentarily waived in August 2024 only to be re-signed to their practice squad shortly after.

Despite all odds, Stueber has never allowed adversity to dissuade him from pursuing his football aspirations. His story is undoubtedly that of perseverance and resilience, making him a valued addition to the world of professional football.
