Allan George Bio
Darian Allan George was born on July 16, 1999 and has made a name for himself as an American professional football cornerback. Though he is currently a free agent, his journey in the world of professional American football has been nothing less than an adventure.
As a youth, George put his love for athletics and sharp competitive edge to good use in college, where he played football for Vanderbilt University. His sheer tenacity and performance on the field made an impression, leading up to a pivotal moment in his career. In 2022, the Cincinnati Bengals chose to sign him as an undrafted free agent after the young player was left unpicked in the 2022 NFL draft.
George’s run with the Bengals was a roller-coaster. He made it to the final team roster, only to be let go on September 5th. Undeterred, George remained committed to his path and was re-signed to the Bengals’ practice squad the following day. Over time, his dedication paid off when he was promoted to the active roster on November 5th. This marked a defining moment for George, who made his debut in the NFL the very next day, facing off against the Carolina Panthers.
His rise in the NFL didn’t stop there. He further showcased his adaptability and talent when he played in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He started 2023 on a high note, as he was signed to the active roster on January 2nd. Throughout the playoffs, he mostly played special teams snaps, demonstrating his continuing commitment and proficiency.
However, in what was seemingly a recurring pattern, George was released by the Bengals on August 29, 2023. This event didn’t deter the young athlete, who was once again re-signed to the team’s practice squad the day after his release. After the end of the 2023 regular season, the Bengals saw potential in the promising player, and chose to sign him to a reserve/future contract on January 8, 2024.
Unfortunately, despite his hard work and potential, George’s journey with the Bengals ended on August 23, 2024, when he was released from the team. Through highs and lows, George’s career gives testimony to his relentless pursuit of excellence in every step of his athletic journey. Following his departure from the Bengals, he returned to the market as a free agent, eager to bring his skills and determination to a new team.
