KT Leveston's Biography

Kaitori “KT” Leveston Jr. is a formidable football guard for the renowned American professional team, the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Born on October 28, 1999, he started his life in Waco, Texas, which would later hold a significant meaning in his NFL journey. A sports enthusiast, KT not only excelled in football but was also an equally dedicated player in basketball during his formative years at Midway High School.

Growing up in a town known for its sports culture, Leveston’s early exposure to football played a crucial role in shaping his career trajectory. At Midway, he was a multi-sport talent, representing his school in both basketball and football. In basketball, KT displayed his battle-hardened competitive spirit by supporting the team to clinch a district championship, while in football, to the surprise of many, he skillfully juggled the roles of an offensive tackle and a defensive end.

As a junior, KT was named a second-team all-district selection at tackle – a mark of his rising talent. In his senior year, he continued to add feathers to his cap. His impeccable performance on the field earned him first-team all-state and all-district laurels and catalyzed Midway High School’s path to a stunning 15-1 record and a spot in the Class 6A D2 state championship. Leveston’s high school accolades solidified his status as a three-star recruit, as he ranked as the 96th-best offensive tackle and the 148th-best player across the state.

Post high school, KT committed to play college football for the Kansas State Wildcats in 2018. He redshirted his first year, a common practice for collegiate athletes to extend their eligibility period. In 2019, he served as a backup, receiving game time on four occasions. Gradually, he cemented his role within the team, featuring in 10 games in 2020, with five of these as a starter.

Leveston’s breakthrough year was 2022 when he finally won a starting role. Becoming a critical part of Kansas State’s offensive line, KT featured in 14 games and was rewarded with an honorable mention in the All-Big 12 Conference. Despite graduating in 2022, he decided to utilize the additional year of eligibility granted to all players due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This marked a significant boost in his career trajectory, as he kicked off the 2023 season with 13 games, receiving honorable mentions in All-Big 12 and making it into the Waco Tribune-Herald’s Super Centex All-College Team.

KT finalized his triumphant collegiate stint with an impressive record of participating in 50 games, starting in 32 of them. His sterling college career led to an invitation to the distinguished East–West Shrine Bowl, a noteworthy platform to demonstrate his prowess to NFL scouts. Additionally, he earned a well-deserved invite to the NFL Scouting Combine.

In the 2024 NFL draft, Leveston found his calling with the Los Angeles Rams, who selected him in the seventh round as the 254th overall pick. This selection had a poignant resonance with KT, who perceived the coincidence of his selection number with his area code (254) as something special. But every journey has its hurdles; Leveston faced one of his own when he had to be placed on injured reserve on August 27.

Despite the early setback, KT Leveston Jr. has time and again proven his mettle and is poised to be a vital cog in the Rams’ offensive machine. His journey from a high school talent in Waco, Texas, to the competitive world of the NFL is a testament to his perseverance, skill, and unyielding passion for football.
